Insurance

All the cars it is not permitted to go to mainland Greece

a) Public Liability/Third party insurance

All cars are covered by a Vehicle Liability Policy providing protection against the financial consequences of the Legal Liability which may be imposed upon the owner and/or the driver of the rented automobile or personal injury including death, or property damage to third parties, resulting from the use of said vehicle.

Coverage is not provided:

  1. If any unauthorized driver is driving the rented car.
  2. For personal injury including death, or property damage caused to the driver of the car and his property.
  3. For damage, loss, or theft of baggage and other property carried in the car. Third party insurance is mandatory.

b) Full coverage

Locar offer a Full Insurance as standard, which includes a Collision Damage Waiver Policy. This covers all damage to the car except for tyres, wheels, roof, interior, under-carriage, glass parts (including windscreen) and loss of or damage to the keys.  This also has a Zero Excess, meaning the coverage is from the first Euro, no hidden fees.

c) Premium coverage (Risk Free)

You may also purchase at a small extra cost per day, a Premium Insurance which covers potential damage to tyres, wheels, under-carriage, all glass parts and loss of or damage to the keys.

d)Accidents

Any accident must be reported immediately. A report has to be drawn up with complete details and must be sent.

Insurance Exemptions

If you have not been added to the rental agreement as an additional driver.
If driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
If driving against traffic regulations.
If driving off-road.
If the car is carrying more passengers than the number it is licensed for. Please note infants count as passengers.
Theft due to keys being left in the vehicle (negligence).
Theft of personal belongings.
